BAYC #1651 was born with an insatiable appetite for nut butters. Swimming and playing water polo at a national level, she craved this healthy and nutritious treat to fuel her active and fast-moving lifestyle.

Inspired by other builders in the BAYC clubhouse, 1651 decided to turn her insatiable appetite for nut butter into an opportunity to create the most delicious, irresistible, creamy and healthy nut butters.

The journey began whilst on maternity leave in 2023, when BAYC #1651 started out in her kitchen during her little ape’s nap time. The adventures of Bored & Nutty kicked off with little more than a small food processor and the best local Australian produce 1651 could source. Growing up and living around Australia, 1651 has connected with local farmers to source some of the finest peanuts (Kingaroy, QLD) and almonds (Riverland Region, SA) available globally. Utilising high quality and sustainably farmed produce gives Bored & Nutty products their strong and vibrant flavours and aromas.

After endless hours of recipe fine tuning, eating multiples of her weight in nut butters and product testing with friends, Bored & Nutty is ready to grace the taste buds of all ape and man-kind (and doggos, 1651’s Great Dane LOVES the final products)!

Importantly, Bored & Nutty has been founded to give back to Apes globally. We’re a proud supporter of the Jane Goodall Institute Australia, as we want to help protect apes globally and contribute to building a better and more friendly natural world. For every Bored & Nutty product purchased, a donation will be made to help this amazing organisation achieve their mission to “inspire actions that connect people with animals and our shared environment”.
